Indorama Ventures Public Company Limited (IVL) announced that on August 1, 2020 there was a lightning strike at Indorama Ventures Olefins LLC (IVOL) facility in Westlake, Louisiana, USA, resulting in a plant trip of the facility and subsequent flaring. There is no danger to the site, employees or surrounding community. The plant is currently offline and being assessed by plant personnel. All appropriate regulatory officials have been notified.

ทั้งนี้ ข้อมูลการซื้อขาย DW28 ณ สิ้นวันชี้ให้เห็นว่านักลงทุนยังไม่มั่นใจต่อทิศทางตลาดมากนัก สังเกตได้จากแรงซื้อสุทธิใน SET50 DW ซึ่งมีทั้ง Call และ Put นำโดย S5028C1510A และ S50208P1509C ส่วนทางด้านหุ้นรายตัวนักลงทุนซื้อสุทธิ IVL28C1511A 6.1 ล้านหน่วย และ PTT28C1601A 3.3 ล้านหน่วยต่อเนื่องจากวันศุกร์ ส่วนทางด้านแรงขายสุทธิ มีแรงขายหนักใน SCC28C1510A 20.9 ล้านหน่วย ส่วน DW บนหุ้นรายตัวอื่นๆมีแรงขายเพียงเล็กน้อย เช่น TTA28C1510A และ TRUE28C1512B

นอกจากนี้ บริษัทยังมีการกระจายธุรกิจไปยังธุรกิจเทรดดิ้ง โดยการเป็นผู้นำเข้าและจัดจำหน่ายสินค้าและเทคโนโลยีทั้งหมดจาก Guardian System แต่เพียงผู้เดียวในประเทศไทย ซึ่งได้จำหน่ายระบบป้องกันอุบัติเหตุจากการละสายตาและการหลับในของผู้ขับขี่รถบรรทุกขนาดใหญ่ โดยเริ่มขายตั้งแต่ในช่วงต้นปีที่ผ่านมา แต่ยอดขายเริ่มเข้ามาในช่วงครึ่งปีหลังนี้ และบริษัทคาดว่าจะมีรายได้จากธุรกิจนี้เข้ามาถึงสิ้นปีนี้ราว 30 ล้านบาท ซึ่งจะช่วยเข้ามาสนับสนุนรายได้ในช่วงครึ่งปีหลัง
